The Director		Debbie C Mitchell Debbie C Mitchell has been in the travel and hospitality industry for the last 25 years, working both in the hotels and tour operations, as well as inbound and outbound sectors, opening up new destinations for the increasingly discerning Malaysian / expatriate travelers out of Malaysia, namely Maldives and Eastern Europe.
Debbie is a native of Malaysia and is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and a number of the Chinese dialects. Her impressive client portfolio includes work undertaken for the Penang Development Corporation, Shangri-la’s Rasa Sayang Resort, as well as various state tourism boards like Perak, Pahang as well as Tourism. In 1996-97, through her efforts, her organisation became affiliated with Edelman Worldwide and Debbie was Edelman’s affiliate director for their bid in the Penang State Tourism’s search for a suitable international P.R. consultant. Debbie then joined the Communications and Marketing Division of the Bangkok Golf Spa Resort, Thailand, during their pre-opening phase. From there, she branched out to undertake representation consultancy for both Malaysian and Maldivian hotels and resorts like Kanuhura Sun & Spa Resort, Maldives, Primula Beach Resort, Trengganu as well as Mirihi Resort, Maldives. She has also taken time to assist many major tour operators in handling their incentive groups into Malaysia, particularly into Penang and Langkawi. She had also undertaken work for a wide variety of corporate and travel companies including the VISIT PENANG, Penang International Food Guide, Eastern & Oriental Express from Singapore. Her strategic consultation to the Malaysian Food & Beverage Executives’ Association earned the Penang Chapter the Award for Outstanding Service to the Hospitality Industry in 1995.
